AR-15 80% Lower Receiver

Overall, the receiver is very nicely machined and I like the design. The Allen nuts for the bolt release, and the takedown springs and detents were helpful, especially with the rear detent as that spring is fussy to install with the buffer tube. Now the minor issues. The first is just cosmetic. It’s nice to have the flag laser etched on the receiver, however, the old Boy Scout in me thinks it’s displayed wrong - the star field should be on the upper left hand corner, not the right - might be wrong - check the US Flag Code. Two technical issues - First, I had trouble with the rear takedown pin detent - I didn’t check hole first, and the pin got hung up in it. I drilled out, but broke the drill in the hole. After some concern that I’d screwed the pooch, I was able to carefully extract the pin and the broken drill with a punch. I believe the initial spec was out, maybe something to do with the anodized finish. I think the spec is 3/32 so I would suggest checking that with a drill bit first to make sure the detent won’t get snagged. Second issue is that in using the JT universal jig, there was a very slight break through of material into the magazine catch hole - from milling the trigger pocket. I had everything lined up what I thought was perfect and very tight, and was using an xy milling vise to drill and mill (no holding jig by hand) I have to believe either the jig or receiver spec was slightly off. It gives me a slight bit of pause, but it doesn’t appear that magazine catch spring could pop out into the receiver pocket, and the magazine release functions well. I would just go easy on milling the front of the pocket and check for any signs of issues frequently while doing that. All that said, I will be ordering another receiver in the next week or two.

Awesome quality lower. Especially like the ambi bolt release and tensioning bolt. Superb! Now on my third lower, JT-9, JT-45, and JT-15. Next is JT-10… Highly recommended!

Machining on this lower is excellent. Perfect fit for my jig. Definitely recommend these lowers. Yes there are cheaper options out there but you get what you pay for.

I have certain expectations after a life filled with some of the finest weaponry the world has to offer. I love these. Iam on 3 now. I would Buy 3 a week if My finances allowed. Real talk these are high quality and You can see the attention to detail. The color option is definitely a plus as well. I don't do the plane Jane's anymore. Heavy into customization and This is My go to for My builds.

With a little alumablack, this turned into a high quality foundation for a build. Looks 100% factory.

Great design on the 80% lower receiver. Has good shrouding so ambi mag release does not get accidentally released by gear. Also works well with anti-rotate and anti-walk trigger/hammer pins. Nice anodized finish and upper receivers fit great. The only complaint is the trigger guard should have a small radius machined on the bottom outside edges, so it don't put pressure on the side of your finger while holding with one hand.

Very tight and right!!

I turned this lower into a hybrid 300 BLK. It has an Adam's Arms side charging upper, adjustable gas block on a Faxon 10 1/2" barrel. It was completed a year ago and I've put 1500 ends through it and love it.

JT's quality is high end, and the nicest 80% AR15 I've ever put my hands on. The ambi bolt catch/release makes it amazing. I also like the enclosed trigger guard. If you like their AR15, I also recommend their AR9, AR10 and AR45.

I picked one of these up years ago and still love how well its designed. The Ambi bolt release set it apart from other options. Once you get used to that, its hard going back to anything else. It also doesn't hurt that many of the securements are threaded not pinned. Makes for assembly and disassembly or upgrade installation a breeze. Would highly recommend.

I purchased an 80% lower to replace a damaged lower on a full AR15 I'd purchased a couple years earlier. The lower arrived on time and milled out just beautifully. I migrated all components across and no one call tell the difference. Every corner and every line matches perfectly.

The rear pocket is milled which eases the process and the ambidextrous bolt release is a nice feature.

They have a great design and get rid of a lot of flying springs by using an Allen key. Nice lines appreciate the extras without the extra cost

First and foremost the ability to drop my bolt with the trigger finger is a requirement for all my guns thanks to this lower! Outstanding finish, easy to finish with the right tools and know how!

Have done several of these. No complaints. Finish is great. The adjustment to tighten a loose fitting upper is awesome if just throwing a cheap upper on it

I'm on my 8th lower all calibers and they are easy to work with no roll/spring pins

After trying other mil spec 80% I have found that the JT Tactical 80% is superior in every way. For finish aesthetics milling and to top it off…..dual mag release! Can’t beat it and I have been changing over all my builds to JT tactical !!!

I have looked at and worked 80% lowers for a few years and Juggernaut Tactical is the best so far. The only problem I’ve had is starting the allen screw for the rear takedown pin spring. There must be a trick to it but I haven’t found it yet. Being a south paw it’s really nice having a high quality ambidextrous lower.
